Photographer Yaki Assayag was born into a Jewish family in Jerusalem, Israel in 1970. He is predominantly a portraitist, considering portraits ‘the most interesting side of photography’ , in which he attempts to capture the interaction between the photographer and subject rather than photographing a predetermined composition. Yaki Assayag lives in Israel. His work is held in the UK in the Ben Uri Collection.
